At the rear of the cargo box, there is a practical lockable storage compartment. On the Delight Nova Dog, the battery is placed in this compartment, making it easy to access. For charging, the battery can either be removed or left in the cargo box – simply unlock the storage compartment and lift the lid.
The Nova cargo box is also compatible with an updated rain canopy. As before, the sides can be rolled up, but on this new version, the front can also be opened. This provides better visibility and ventilation, while also making it easy to access the dog hatch to open and close it when the rain canopy is fitted.
Important information about seating and the dog hatch
Cargobike Delight Nova Dog is delivered with both the dog hatch and the standard front panel. This allows you to adapt the cargo box depending on how you want to use the bike.
When the dog hatch is fitted, the front bench is not recommended for use. This is because the safety belts cannot be used correctly with the dog hatch fitted, and the dog hatch is not designed to be leaned against.
The rear bench remains intact and can be used as normal. This means that with the dog hatch fitted, there are two belted seats in the cargo box.
If you want to use the bike with four belted seats instead, you can fit the standard front panel included with the bike. The cargo box can then be used in the same way as a standard Delight Nova, with space for up to four belted children.

There is also a USB port on the handlebar, allowing you to charge your phone or other devices while riding. The battery is approved according to the EU safety requirement EN50604.
